Antonia “Toya” Carter — the mother of Lil’ Wayne‘s nine-year-old daughter Reginae — is defending Wayne for bringing the girl on stage at the B-E-T Awards while he performed “Every Girl in the World.” Toya says,
“I will be the first to admit that the father-and-daughter relationship should not have been reunited on stage for any particular reason while this song was being performed. Wayne is a very loving, caring and devoted father, and I truly feel that the act was unintentional due to the fact that he was trying to make his little girl happy by letting her be on stage with her father.”
ok i understand now…see when Wayne went to get his award his daughter didnt go up and she was crying. So he brought her up on stage. still a bad move. But Toya seems to have explained the situation correctly sounds like a good mother.
Tiny and Toya, Carter’s reality show with Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, airs Tuesday nights at 10 p-m [ET] on B-E-T.
