BET’s “The Michael Vick Project” is an 8 part docu-series which will spotlight his comeback, his past, and his troubled childhood. Why a reality show? Vick said he just wants people to really get to know him. (Looking forward to this one.)

Jay-Z wants to work with Oasis now?

Jay-Z is putting it out there that he wants to work with Liam Gallagher of the alternative band Oasis.

He admits that he first became interested in the collaboration after reading that Snoop Dogg was interested in signing Liam’s brother, Noel Gallagher to Priority Records

Remember Jay and Noel’s beef surrounding the Glastonbury Festival in London where Noel said he didn’t want rapper Jay-Z headlining and then Jay (ever the smart ass) opened his set singing Noels hit song “Wonderland” while playing a guitar? Ironically, when Jay-Z was on the Ed Lover Show he said that’s the songs he sings the loudest.

DJ AM’s mom says the show will go on!!

It may have been hard for her, but DJ AM‘s mother has given her blessing for MTV to run the docu-drama about her son’s battle with drug addiction. Note to DJ AM’s mom: that is so brave and unselfish of you and so many people will benefit from his work on that project, you have just saved more lives; thank you and bless you.

Percussionist Sheila E. will perform at the White House next Tuesday as head of the house band for Fiesta Latina, a concert to be hosted by President Barack Obama in honor of Hispanic musical heritage.

Buckshot has words of advice for Shyne

After all the talk of Shyne possibly signing to Roc Nation or Black Wall Street under his own Gangland imprint, Shyne’s fellow Brooklynite had some words of advice for him. Buck suggested that Shyne venture out independently if he returns to rap, he says, “Get your own, start your own, own your own, be your own, control your own and dictate your own. Don’t let nobody tell you ‘I’ll give you a million dollars’.” Note to Buck: His immigration hearing is whats on his mind right now, son!

New York Post editor gets fired

A New York Post editor who spoke out against a controversial cartoon the paper ran comparing the author of the president’s stimulus package to a dead chimpanzee has been fired from her job, staff members say it was retaliation for her speaking up to management and not endorsing the choice (And no, I’m not running the picture here.)
