After starring in her own television show, “The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency,” playing a role in Why Did I Get Married?, and having her first child, Jill Scott will soon return to the music scene with a new album entitled The Light of the Sun. As her fifth studio album, ‘Sun’ is scheduled to be released this spring or summer, and Scott will be touring with Erykah Badu (and others) around the same time.

G Unit front man Lloyd Banks has been in police custody in Kitchener, Ontario since early Saturday morning after an altercation with promoter Chris Hines. It is alleged that Banks and three other men assaulted and robbed Hines in his hotel room after a payment issue with Banks for a performance at Club NV on Friday night. Bail for Banks, who plans on entering a not guilty plea, was set at $50,000 and at $25,000 for the other men; all four are scheduled to be released to return to the states today.
