After spending a year denying that he fathered a child with mistress Rielle Hunter, former Senator and Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards has finally come clean. Late this week he admitted being the father of Hunter’s daughter through a statement. “It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me.” He went on to say “To all those I have disappointed and hurt, these words will never be enough, but I am truly sorry.” Edwards has been married to wife Elizabeth for more than 30 years; they have had four children together.
