“Girlfriends” actress Traci Ellis Ross has landed an original comedy series on BET. The show, called “Reed Between The Lines,” will begin production on August 11 and features Ross as Dr. Carla Reed, “a busy psychiatrist, wife, and mom struggling to balance her job, and her happy but chaotic home life.”

This new series will join upcoming original shows on BET like “Let’s Stay Together” (produced by Queen Latifah) and the much anticipated return of “The Game.”
