Brandy Signs New Record Deal

Congratulations are in order for Brandy, who recently signed a new recording contract with RCA, under Sony Entertainment. The deal will be a joint partnership between RCA and music producer Breyon Prescott’s Chameleon Records. Brandy and her former record label, Epic, parted ways after her 2008 album Human.

On the new deal, Brandy said:

“This is truly a blessing. Breyon Prescott, Peter Edge and Tom Corson [RCA Music Group’s president and chief operating officer] believe in me and have introduced me to a home that also believes and knows exactly what to do with the type of music I’m doing. Breyon and the team at RCA/Chameleon are creative and forward-thinking and I am thrilled to be working with them.”

Brandy will document the process of recording her album in an upcoming series called “On My Own” and fans can expect to get a new album from her at the beginning of 2012.

But in the mean time, she is set to make acting appearances on Fox’s “90210″ and Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” later this fall.
