Rick Ross In Stable Condition After Suffering Second Seizure

Update: After being released from a Ft. Lauderdale hospital earlier this afternoon after suffering a seizure while aboard a plane, Rick Ross has had a second seizure.

Like before, the seizure occurred on a plane, while Ross was attempting to travel from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis, where he was schedule to perform.

About 40 minutes after the plane took off, it had to make an emergency landing in Birmingham, Alabama. TMZ has reported that Ross is at a Birmingham hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

Before leaving Ft. Lauderdale for Memphis, Ross tweeted a video of him boarding a private jet, showing that he was fine and ready to perform, but this new development is obviously a set back. Let’s hope he can take some time off to focus on his health.

Original story: TMZ reported earlier today that rapper Rick Ross had fallen unconscious shortly after the plane he was on, from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis, took off. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at a nearby airport, where paramedics were called to the scene.

According to TMZ:

A witness tells TMZ, Rick fell unconscious right after take-off.

We’re told his entourage jumped out of their seats to alert plane personnel — at which point a doctor on board administered CPR on the rapper.

The plane made an emergency landing right away — and we’re told, as Rick was being wheeled off the aircraft, he appeared to show signs of life.

The scare that the news caused was calmed by Ross’ official DJ Sam Sneak and fellow Maybach Music Group artist Wale.

Update:

Police confirm Ross has been transported to a nearby hospital.

A family member tells TMZ, Rick is currently under close supervision and is doing fine. We’re told drugs and alcohol were not involved.

It seems like everything is fine now, but that was definitely a scary moment.
