Rumors about Kim Kardashian‘s marriage troubles have been swirling since her marriage to New Jersey Net’s player Kris Humphries earlier this summer. It seemed like the couple tried to silence the speculation by appearing together, but the stories about their drama just kept coming up. Well, it looks like now everything has been confirmed.

Ryan Seacrest, media mogul and producer of all of the Kardashian series on E! (including the two part special on Kim’s wedding to Kris) has confirmed that after only 72 days of marriage, Kim is filing for divorce.

People.com reports:

Kardashian, 30, has hired celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser and will cite the usual “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reports. The date of separation will be listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011.

News started circulating last week that E! arranged for Kim to date Kris because Kim was looking to start a relationship with a professional athlete in the New York City area for the filming of her show “Kourtney & Kim Take New York.”

Kim reportedly made $17 million off of their lavish August wedding and TV special covering the ceremony, which was attended by celebrity friends and nearly 500 guests.
