Some fans of Tyler Perry aren’t too happy with the entertainment mogul about his recent choice to cast Kim Kardashian in his new film The Marriage Counselor. Hundreds of Perry supporters took to his website to voice their disapproval of Kim taking part in the movie and want the director to find another actress for the role.

According to BET.com, one person commented:

“I have always loved your movies. You being a Christian comes out in your movies. They are in good taste and I enjoy the trash-free scripts. I will boycott [The Marriage Counselor] if Kim Kardashian is in it. These people (Kardasians) [sic] are what is wrong with our society today. They are bad role models for our youth today.”

And another comment read:

I love your films Mr. Perry. Your make popluar quality films and I love it. Please don’t cast Kim Kardashian in the Marriage Counselor!! I was really looking forward to this film, as I love the play, but will be unwilling to support it with her doing anything more than a cameo with little to no lines. You don’t need gimmicks for your films and she, Mr Perry, is a gimmick.

Despite the backlash, and all of the drama surrounding Kim lately, Tyler is sticking to his decision and cleared any rumors that she is out of the film. He told TMZ, “She is scheduled to work as planned.”

Could it be that Tyler just wants to give her a chance?

Either way, The Marriage Counselor, which will also star Lance Gross, Jurnee Smollett, Brandy, and Vanessa Williams, has already starting shooting in Atlanta.
