Management Rumors Surrounding Drake Cleared Up

Rumors have been going around that Drake, fresh off of 4 Grammy nominations and his chart-topping album Take Care, has fired his management team Hip Hop Since 1978, which also manages artists like Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, T.I., and Kanye West.

The supposed news led people to speculate whether or not there was a rift between Drake and his Young Money home. Well, all of that has now been put to rest.

The rumors of the split are not true, though Drake is no longer with International Creative Management. According to AllHipHop.com:

The rapper’s original management team remains in place, while William Morris Entertainment will represent and book the rapper across the world.

“WME now represents Drake in all areas worldwide,” a rep told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Contrary to previous reports, there has been no change with Drake’s management team, and he continues to be managed by Gee Roberson, Al Branch, Kyambo Joshua and Bryant Cortez of Hip Hop Since 1978.”

In related news, Drake recently shot the video for his next single, “The Motto” featuring Lil’ Wayne, in California. The song is a bonus track from his new album Take Care.
