After 7 years without an official host, the Grammys have tapped LL Cool J to be the master of ceremonies for the award show.

On the opportunity, LL, who has 2 Grammys of his own, said:

“I’m thrilled to be part of Music’s Biggest Night. I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true. Great performances and great music — it’s gonna be a great night!”

Late last year, LL hosted and co-produced the “Grammy Nominations Concert Live!” show for the fourth year in a row, but this will be his first time hosting the main show.
