84th Annual Academy Awards Nominations Announced

After an already eventful award season, the nominations for one of the biggest honors in film have been announced.

Leading the pack for the 2012 Oscars is Martin Scorsese‘s Hugo, which is nominated 11 times in categories like Best Director and the coveted Best Picture. The Artist came in with 10, and Moneyball and War Horse follow with 6 each.

The Help also got some very special nods, including Best Picture. Octavia Spencer, who is coming off of her Golden Globes win for Best Supporting Actress, is nominated in the same category and Viola Davis earned a Best Actress nomination.
