Just days after Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger split from the show, news comes that there will be at least one familiar face on the second season of “The X Factor USA.”

The Hollywood Reporter had learned that music executive and judge L.A. Reid has officially signed in to return for season 2 of the talent show.

Early last week, Paula, Nicole, and first season host Steve Jones were all dismissed from their positions.

So now that Reid is in, who will fill the other spots? Well, it looks like show producers are going after Mariah Carey for at least one of the judging chairs.
