The 54th Grammy Awards will take place this coming Sunday and it looks like a last minute performer has been added to the show.
A source tells the Associated Press that Chris Brown will make his return to the Grammy awards this Sunday night after a 3 year hiatus sparked by his assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Chris is nominated for 3 Grammys, including one for Best R&B Album and two more for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for his hit “Look At Me Now,” taken from his 2011 platinum-selling album F.A.M.E.
And in case you were wondering, Rihanna will also be in attendance. She is nominated for 4 awards herself and will perform with Coldplay. The former couple have been spotted at the same events lately, but never together. By court order, Chris is required to stay at least 10 yards away from Rihanna at industry events.
He joins a growing list of performers like Adele, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift. He’s known for his high energy performance so hopefully, this time will be no different.
Hosted by LL Cool J, the 54th Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles this Sunday, February 12, at 8PM ET on CBS.
