Last night, MTV premiered its new show called “Hip Hop POV.” Lil’ Wayne was a guest on the debut episode, and while being interviewed by co-host Amanda Seales, he revealed he recorded an entire album of love songs when he was in prison in 2010.

But don’t get it confused. Wayne says the project, titled Devol, doesn’t have the typical love records on it.

“I was also recording an album at the same time called Devol… Because that’s ‘loved’ spelled backwards.

“It’s my version of love songs. And what I mean by my version of love songs, they’re not saying ‘I love you.’ It’s all material that I did when I was locked up.”

There doesn’t seem to be any word yet on when or if Devol will be released, but with Wayne, you never know.
