Music News: D'Angelo Added To Essence Music Festival Lineup

For the first time in almost 10 years, soul singer D’Angelo will be performing in the United States, and where better to do that than the 2012 Essence Music Festival?

Since earlier this year, D’Angelo has been touring Europe, but come this July, he will be one of the main attractions for the annual music concert event.

In January, he debuted new music from his rumored next album James River, which is said to be set for a release later this year.

Trey Songz and Tank have also been added to the festival lineup, which also includes comedian Kevin Hart, Mary J. Blige, SWV, Aretha Franklin, and many more. Check out the full list of performers below.
