Along with Tia Mowry confirming her exit from BET’s “The Game,” there was also speculation that Pooch Hall, who plays Derwin Davis on the show, would be leaving the series too. Today, BET confirmed the rumors in a statement.

According to the Associated Press:

BET said in a statement Thursday that Hall isn’t coming back because of his “involvement on a new project.” Hall recently signed on to do the Showtime pilot “Ray Donovan.”

BET said it “is in the process of reworking the casting and storyline” and hopes Hall and Mowry “will make several guest appearances.”

When Pooch originally signed on to “Ray Donovan,” he said that he would do both shows, but that his role on “The Game” would become smaller.

Obviously, that didn’t happen, as both he and Tia will not be returning for the sixth season.
