First Lady Michelle Obama made an appearance on “The View” yesterday to discuss her Let’s Move initiative and promote her new book “American Grown.” But she also spoke on some personal topics, including how she supports President Obama (especially during an election year), raising their daughters in the White House, and if she has any political dreams of her own.
“The truth is something else. There’s what you hear and then there’s the truth. I want America to understand, there’s more that unites us than divides us. That is true and I don’t want anybody to get discouraged from that kind of chatter. We’re all fighting for a decent America.
“You all show that in this show. You all don’t always [agree], but you’re friends, you respect each other, and that’s what Barack models. His motto is ‘they go small, you go big.’ That means you always take the high ground because you don’t get lost in the chatter and the noise. And that’s why he has been such a phenomenal president. He has kept his eye focused on getting this country back on track and that’s the president we need. I’mma be working for that man.”
