Earlier this week, Frank Ocean posted a letter that was meant to be in the thank you’s section of his upcoming album Channel Orange. Instead, the letter served as a means for Frank to be open about his sexuality, as he admitted that his first love was a man.
Many have shown their support of his courage, and now, Beyonce can add her name to the list. The singer and mother, who collaborated with Frank on “I Miss You” (the song he wrote for her 4 album), has posted her own message to him on her official site.
In white letters overlaid on a photo of Ocean, she tells him to “be open, be free, be yourself.”
Yesterday, Frank also released some new music from Channel Orange called “Sweet Life,” which was co-produced by Pharrell Williams. Listen to it below.
Channel Orange will be in stores on July 17.
