After a tour in Europe, performance at the 2012 BET Awards, and a return to the stage this weekend at the Essence Music Festival, D’Angelo’s comeback is in full swing. But he has more in store as a tour with Mary J. Blige has just been announced.

The Liberation Tour will kick off on August 18 in Virginia Beach and will go on to cities like Boston and Washington DC. Before D’Angelo hit the Essence stage, Mary J. Blige spoke to Rolling Stone on the upcoming tour, saying, “I felt like it would be refreshing and fun for people to see him and Mary J. Blige on the road together.”

All of the tour’s dates and cities haven’t been announced yet, but see a list of what’s been confirmed so far below.
