There has been very little new information on the status of Kile Glover, Usher‘s ex-wife Tameka Raymond‘s 11 year old son who was seriously injured last Friday in a jet ski accident. But earlier this week, she and her family released a statement proclaiming their faith and asking for prayers.
In a statement to CNN, the family said:
“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time.
“We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”
While in an inner tube on Lake Lanier in Georgia, Kile and a teenage girl were struck by a man on a jet ski. Authorities have identified the man as Jeffrey Hubbard, a family friend who is now under investigation.
Since the accident, Kile (previously printed as Kyle) has remained hospitalized and unresponsive. TMZ reported that he has been declared brain dead, but the neither the family nor any other news source has confirmed that claim.
Continued support, thoughts, and prayers are with the family at this time.
