Tito Jackson's Son Appointed Temporary Guardian Of Michael Jackson's Children

Days after Katherine Jackson was reported missing by a concerned family member and her grandchildren, the fallout continues. Though police have been able to make contact with Katherine in Arizona, her grandchildren have not. And today, a Los Angeles judge has handed over temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson‘s children, who were previously cared for by Katherine, to Tito Jackson’s son TJ.

Paris, Prince, and Blanket Jackson will now be under the care of TJ, at least until she returns to the Jackson family compound in California. Katherine has been suspended as the guardian of the children.

According to the Associated Press:

A judge has appointed Tito Jackson’s son as a temporary guardian of Michael Jackson’s children.

The judge temporarily suspended Katherine Jackson as the children’s guardian because she is in Arizona and hadn’t spoken with them in several days.

TJ Jackson appeared in court Wednesday and sought the temporary appointment, but his attorney said he wasn’t trying to replace Katherine Jackson permanently.

TJ Jackson says he spoke with Katherine Jackson on Tuesday, but she sounded strange. He says she was using words he’s never heard her use and her voice at times sounded slurred.

The appointment comes after days of turmoil among the Jackson family, with a relative reporting Katherine Jackson missing before she was located safely with other family members in Arizona.

One of Katherine’s lawyers, Sandra Ribera, said in court today: “I have reason to believe she is being held or has been held against her will.”

TMZ reports that TJ, who is married with children of his own, will move to get permanent guardianship from his 82 year old grandmother. Apparently, all 3 of Michael’s kids were on board to have TJ has their guardian.
