Pennsylvania has become the latest state to put in place stricter voter ID laws for the upcoming elections. Carvin (@carvinhaggins), a guest blogger from Philadelphia, comments on the new laws below.

I think this is a lot for to have to do in order to vote. OK, it’s always a great idea to have valid ID but to vote, it seems like a ploy to keep people away from the voting booths.

Most of the people who will be affected by this are our senior citizen, who don’t have the where with all,the means nor the transportation to get this accomplished. This is what’s crazy, most of these people have been living in the same area and going to the same voting station for over 5 years. The people manning the station are people that know them by face and name. These are their neighbors, so why would I need ID? I’m just saying.

There are way bigger issues we need to be worrying about than ID at the voting booths. Let’s be real, this all sounds like a scam to me.
