Fans are hungry for any type of Outkast reunion, and with the legendary group’s 20th anniversary coming up, it might just happen.
Big Boi stopped by Power 106′s “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” yesterday and revealed he has been discussing with Andre 3000 about doing something special for the 20th anniversary of their first album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, which was released on April 14, 1994.
“We been kind of discussing some things. Once we map it out, we’ll make an announcement. But we’ll see. It’s 20 years, man. We started out at 15, 16 years old. We made our first album when we were 17 years old. Twenty-five million records later, seven Grammys, I feel great.”
Big Boi also touched on the impact and legacy of the group, and how he wants to see an Outkast reunion happen. Despite how the media might make it seem, Big Boi made it clear that his relationship with Andre 3000 is much bigger and personal than music. He discussed how their kids play with each other and how most of their conversations are about life.
