  1. 20 Years Later Nas Takes Us into the Making of Classic Album ‘Illmatic’ with Documentary

    Almost 20 years later, Nas’ Illmatic album is still able to grab hip hop heads’ attention. Time is Illmatic is a documentary that will take us back to explore and discover an in depth look at the creation of the classic album. Written by Erik Parker and directed by One9, Time is Illmatic is reported to premiere April 16th and will kick off the Tribeca Film Festival.

    Being a huge part of Nas’ musical influence, the documentary also touches on the MC’s family life with his father and jazz musician, Olu Dara.

    If you’re looking to be one of the first to see the film, the Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 16 through 27. They will also be announcing this year’s full line-up in the first week of March.

  2. Ride Along Gets Its Sequel Wings!

    Kevin Hart and Ice Cube recently announced a sequel to Ride Along! They are scheduled to start shooting the sequel as early as this summer.

    Tim Story will be returning to direct the film for Universal and Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay are writing the script.

    The original film broke box office records, staying in the top spot for three weekends in a row!

    As we are all enjoying this Valentines Day with our loved ones, there is a must see movie that you and your date need to check out! “About Last Night” came out in theaters today, February 14th, and it stars a few of our favorites.

    Kevin Hart, Micheal Ealy, Regina Hall, and Joy Bryant star in the relationship based movie and you can expect plenty of laughs coming from these characters. If you and your date are stuck on decisions, we just made it for you!

  4. Drumline Part 2? Nick Cannon Confirms via Instagram

    According to Nick Cannon, we can all expect to see a sequel to ‘Drumline’ this Fall on VH1. Nick will both co-star and executively produce the made for television movie.

    This version will focus on a female lead who goes to school in New Orleans to help rejuvenate their drumline. Check out Nick Cannon’s confirmation below! Who remembers Free and AJ’s cameo in the first Drumline!?

    Rapper/actress Nicki Minaj is getting ready to make her debut on the big screen. Along side Cameron Diaz, Nicki Minaj will be starring in the romantic comedy, “The Other Woman”. The official trailer was just released and Nicki Minaj will be playing Cameron Diaz’s crazy love therapist helping her through a sticky man situation.

    The film is scheduled to hit theaters April 25th, 2014. Check out the trailer below!
