So I don’t know if I told everyone yet, but last week I moved to DC and started my morning role on “The Big Tigger Morning Show with Free” on WPGC 95.5. If you aren’t in the DMV area, you can join us online at Radio.com, keyword: WPGC, and yes, there is a phone app as well! So how did my first week go? Well, I’ll tell you about it and you decide. Yesterday Big Tigger and I gave away Birthday Bash tickets at Popeye’s in Landover, Maryland and I gotta say, I have a new found respect for those that give us our food at the drive-thru. That is not easy work. It was fun for 5 minutes and then the orders got real, white meat no thighs, biscuits, don’t forget the jelly, soda, diet light ice. From here on in, I will KNOW what I want when I pull up at the drive-thru!
So for two hours Trigga and I took turns taking orders and giving out orders, not an easy job. AT ALL! See more photos of us in the drive-thru below.
Tune in to the Big Tigger Morning Show with Free Monday through Friday, from 6 to 10AM on WPGC 95.5. If you’re not in the DMV area, head over to Radio.com to get the app or just click here to listen online.(more…)
If you are in the DC area tonight, I will be co-moderating a community forum and panel discussion event called “Your Baby Girl is Not a Baby Anymore,” organized by Black Women’s Health. The program will focus on how important it is for parents to speak with their daughters about sexual health, and tips on how to have that conversation. See the below details and agenda for information on tonight’s forum. (more…)
Last week, I hosted the Bennett College Ebony Soul Step Show. The steppers went hard and we had a good time. The winners were tied between the Deltas and the AKAs. Congrats to them and thanks to our judges and Skool Boye Inc. for having me. Check out pictures from the event below. (more…)
Last August, I hosted a panel for the South Carolina State Leadership Conference. At the event, which was sponsored by Skool Boye Agency, we discussed doing something you love, integrity, credit cards, and preparing yourself for interviews.
Check out footage of Ash Cash, business consultant, motivational speaker, financial expert and author of Mind Right, Money Right: 10 Laws of Financial Freedom, speaking below. (more…)

Y’all know I love my shoes and as I’m reacquainting myself with the spotlight, I’m having a hell of a good time just being pretty. It’s always about the shoe and comfort for me. Whatever makes me feel good, I’m in it!

Friday night I hosted the annual Avante Garde Ambiance show at Buffalo State University in New York. The event was presented by the AASO. The models got their walk on fiercely and took no prisoners. Love the confidence and self-esteem in the room. They even had a body paint scene. We had a lot of fun, good times. Nothing like hecklers and me with a microphone. Nothing…LOL.
Shout out to DJ A-HOP (where’s my T-shirt?) Akil, Jessica and Shemelly, the AASO and Buffalo State for having me. Oh and to the young man that danced with me….well he kinda swayed with me, I hope you enjoy your candy necklace! Didn’t make it to 2nd Cup (the first black owned cafe in downtown Buffalo).
After the festivities I retired with a Pomegranate martini and looked at all the beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the hotel, which you can buy to sponsor Buffalo’s Women and Children’s Hospital. Personally I was being inspired for the season, needed that. I was a bah humbug just last week!
So, if you wanna know what they are rocking fashion wise in Buffalo or not rocking – check out the pics. I took a couple of Christmas tree pics too..yes its almost Christmas! (more…)
If you missed out on last night’s showing of the Black Girls Rock! awards show on BET, don’t worry. Check out the incredible performance of “4 Women” with Kelly Price, Marsha Ambrosius, Jill Scott, and Ledisi above and more from Fantasia, Keri Hilson, and Keyshia Cole below. (more…)
This Sunday marks the first ever televised tribute to black women ever. BET and Black Girls Rock! founder Beverly Bond have partnered up to celebrate some of our sheroes, moguls, icons, and living legends, to acknowledge them for their hard work, dedication, and for being a black girl who rocks.
There were some personally touching moments for me:
1. Watching Raven Symone get her award. A little known secret is that I was one of the teenage writers on her album when she was 7 years old (so I take full blame for it not taking off
then) but to see her now and watch her poise and wit, I’m proud of her and her family.
2. Watching Monica sing “I’m Still Standing” goes without saying, she gives me goosebumps when she sangs. And I swear she’s singing just to me! LOL.
3. Presenting the “Shot Caller” Award to Teresa Clarke, founder of Africa.com, for her efforts to change the way the world views Africa. Inspires me to be a shot caller too, again. (more…)
